SC400 Starter Gear "Knifing"
Doing Collins 5 speed swap with a KA trans. I know that I am supposed to "knife" the starter gear to make it mesh with the ring gear better. The included pictures don't really help me much. Am I grinding off one side of the starter gear to leave an angled edge? Or am I shortening it? I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do. Has anyone else done this swap and knows what exactly is required?
