RX, R stands for Recreational and X is a generic used to represent SUVs.

Lex400SC is right about the "Executive", "International", and "Grand" sedans. I've always read the "R" in RX was for "Refined", but Lexus corporate says neither letter has a meaning.

Lets take it one further, on my engine it reads mod-E-UZZ31-ACPZK. What's acpzk stand for? What does yours read, and does anybody know what they mean?
