LS = Luxury Sedan
ES = Economy Sedan
GS =Grand Sport
IS = international sport
SC = sport coupe

I think we need a real expert to shine some light on RX LX and GX.

ES=Executive Sedan (heck it's not economy! http://www.nctd.com/review-intro.cfm?ReviewID=957 )
Below are my guesses for the SUV line:
LX=Luxury Crossover
GX=Grand Crossover
RX=Road Crossover (hence road-friendlier)
