Hey I just bought 1997-2000 tail lights for my 96 sc400 I was just wondering if I can use the same harness from my 96 ? Or do I need a different harness ? Any tips or tricks I recently got my sc400 so I’m still new to the community

 

They use a different harness if I’m not mistaken. The 97-00 taillight harness is impossible to find online. I was looking for some two months ago and couldn’t find a set anywhere. A junkyard would be your best bet. They can’t be ordered from the dealership anymore.

 

You'll also likely need to drill a new hole or two on each side for the slightly different bolt placement. One person on here reported them being interchangeable, but that goes against everything I've read before, as well as my own test fit experience. ('92-94 and '95-96 are direct fit swaps, though.)
