Question Headlight Head Scratcher

My headlights only come on in the auto position at night or if I cover the sensor. I thought no problem, the switch assembly has gone bad. I replaced it and it does the same thing with both assemblies. If the relay and the the switch assemblies are good, what else is in the headlight system?

That's how the auto lights are supposed to work. Unless you are saying the lights don't work with them in the ON position? If so close the door, turn the switch off then to ON they should come on.

Yes, I meant that they don't come on in the on position. This isn't a new problem, I've been driving with the headlights using the auto position for a few weeks now. Just pulled another combo light switch today thinking that it had to be the problem. The wiring diagrams show that the integration relay is the only other component to the headlight system, but if the headlights come on in the auto position, doesn't that prove that the integration and the headlight relays both are good? Or does the auto position with the daytime sensor on the dash run parallel to the integration relay and not in series? My wiring diagrams don't show that, only the diagrams without the auto option.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the headlights that has the auto option in the schematic?

If anyone was keeping score, it was the integrated relay. That was fun getting too.
