Ok I have had my car almost a month and in that time i have noticed a slight vibration in the steering wheel. The drives straight and by looking at the front end pieces nothing seems out of wack. I do know that the passenger front lower control arm has been replaced prior to me owning the car and it looks to be that a used unit was installed. I have 75k on the car and everything else seems to be original. I had the tires rotated and balanced and the vibration became less noticeable. Well now I have installed my new 18" wheels that are perfect and the vibration is back or more noticable. I am not sure what to look for though I know I want to do lowering springs and new shocks but I don't think that is going to help my problem out any. I know that the alignment is close to being in spec because the car drives straight. But there was some funny wear on the inside tread on the old front tires before rotating them. Well anyone that has had this problem or that has any help or suggestions for me would be great help.
My car has 75K on the car as well. My car does have the same vibration coming from the steering wheel as soon as i hit speeds at around 80mph. I just lowered my car with coilovers and i have yet to do an alignment and the same vibration is still there. Im hoping an alignment will fix the problem.
Sorry to jump on this thread, but I am looking for other solutions as well.
I have the same vibration in the steering wheel. The rear control arm is damaged, though. I had it replaced as well as the rear subframe. I have not driven the car since though, but I will let you know whether this improved this situation.

Just an update, I changed the wheel/tire combo on my car and the vibration from the front end is gone. Looks like the culprit was unbalanced stock rims/tires.
