Hey CL world. New to Lexus but not to the world of project cars. Accidentally picked up a clean 1993 SC300 and working on a few things now. Everything I have researched says these wheels will fit both f/r and plan on running a 245/265 tire combo. Problem is they just look really close to the outside fender. I'll try and post some pics if that helps. Also plan on dropping it with Tein coilovers this weekend and don't mind running some negative camber.
It should fit. The tires might rub a little bit up front on hard turns. I used to run an 18x9 +30 with a 245/35/18 tire and it rubbed on turns sometimes. It mainly just rubbed the fender liner and not the actual fender though.
Thanks for the quick response. My concern was more over the clearance of the outside fender as it looks to be almost an inch off when I put a level on it. Will run 245/40-18 and 265/35-18. They had the same size rim in a 15mm offset but assumed that would stick out too far.
You should be OK, as others have said - may need to trim front fender liner or light roll depending on how low your suspension is set. It's always deceiving how much wheels stick out until the car is actually on the ground at ride height.
I appreciate all the feedback. Still chasing down oil leaks and was sent a broken replacement distributor so that’s put things on hold. It’s been a slow build due to work and 100+ degree days but I should have it rolling again. Got enough on the list that I should probably start my own build thread.
And I’ve had that C4 for almost 17yrs now, guess I just can’t let the 90s go. It’s been my track day toy the entire time and my next focus once the SC is sealed up and running again.
Fronts are one and Teins installed at default height. I may lower it a little more but I’m pretty happy with the current look. Adding some camber will help tuck them up under the fenders next thanks for all the feedback.
