Leg, welcome to the board! This topic has been covered to the point of exhaustion. Just go to the search function and type in conversion or 97+ conversion or some sort of mixture therein.

Good luck

Is the front absorber actually neccessary? This is just the white foam that goes between the bumper cover and the bumper support correct? Can the absorber from an older model SC be modified to fit under the 97+ bumper cover?

its possible but you gonna have to cut it up, for 45$ you might as well get the one thats made for the 97+ front bumper.

Default 1997+ SC300 body parts

I'm posting this right now since I'm about to do a search, but any help would be appreciated before hand. Are the front and back bumpers, the headlights and the spoiler the only thing different then the pre-1997 bodies? What exterior differences are there? Also on those parts, could someone give me some prices for them? Or point me in the right direction where I could find out the info I seek.

Reason I'm asking is I'm considering doing a SC300 project with the 2JZ-GTE, 6spd, etc. and I don't like the pre-1997 bodies (bumpers, lights, etc.). Not only that but the earlier models are easier to come by cheaper as well, CHEAP.

Thanks everyone.

P.S Can someone tell me what kind of kit this is on this car. Thanks again.

Had to go back and edit my post since it didn't make sense. I haven't had a chance to do a search yet since I had to leave for a bit. Thanks for naming the kit.
