Correct me if im wrong, but I did a search on the FLT-A2, but i couldnt find anyone who has them on their car. I wanted to know how the ride quality is on those coilovers. Thanks for the input. I was planning on getting a coilover setup for street, but I can get a killer price on the FLT's.

Thanks vegas... that is a great post and ive already read through it, but I was specifically asking about the JIC FLT-A2's. From what I know, they are the more performance oriented coilovers from the JIC line. I just want to hear some subjective opinions about them. The reason why I ask is that I get a good cut out of the FLT-A2's. Although they cost a little more than what I can get the SF's for, Im still undecided on whether I should spend a little more to get FLT's.

 

I have FLT-A2's but they're on my GS430...my SC has SF-1's

 

Hey Manaray, I know the GS and SC are totally different cars, but what can you tell me about the ride quality (comfort & handling) between the FLT and the SF. My source has the FLT-A2's in stock but the SF-1's are 6 weeks backorder The FLT's will cost me about... $200 more.

 

The FLT-A2's will be a little bit stiffer than the SF-1's but the FLT-A2's are better when it comes height adjustability. The FLT-A2's can be adjusted from the bottom of the shock body so that you don't mess with the pre-load.

For a $200 different (retail is like $450 difference), I would consider the FLT-A2's. I personally picked the SF-1's because I wanted a softer ride (since I was already putting 20's on the car which would make the ride stiff, I didn't want to make it any stiffer). I'm not sure about the FLT-A2's for the SC but I know the ones for the GS have recently been revalved and resprung for the US market so they're softer....

If I were to redo my SC, I think I would 19's and FLT-A2's...of course, after the D1 competition, I have a different focus with the SC....I'd be going for a much more "sportier" ride...
