SC Model Year ABS Sensor Differences
So I have a 1995 factory 5 speed sc300. This is a general inquiry about rear ABS sensors on first gen SCs. I broke an abs sensor trying to get it out of the hub when I did my wheel bearing and I can find replacements on eBay. But every time I get one and try to install it I have to send it back as it is ever so slightly to big for the hole. One thing I have noticed between the ones I keep finding and the original one on my car is that the one originally on my car was plastic while the ones I keep buying are metal. I am trying to confirm if there was a change during model years or what because I shouldn’t have to force a sensor into its place. Just a note yes the ones I get off eBay are used factory sensors but I presume from earlier model cars.

When I had to replace a bad ABS sensor on my '95, I made the following compatibility notes based on RockAuto listings I think:
rears: '92-96 SC3/SC4, '93-95 GS300 ('93-97?)
fronts: '92-00 SC3/SC4, '94-96 Supra ('94-98?)
So, fronts should be the same for all years but rears changed for '97-00.
