SC400 Stability Control Shutdown
Car: 1993 SC400 (Automatic)
Engine: 1UZ-FE
Hi there, I'm currently prepping my car to drift but I ran into an issue where the ECU's stability control shuts off my car as soon as I get sideways. We tried pulling out 4 different fuses that controls the ABS/TC but no luck. We're now looking into the YAW module which is apparently a mini ECU for the stability control. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this, or knows anything about this? Also, if anyone has a diagram for the YAW location of my car could you please send it my way?
Please help me! If you need more information, let me know.
Thanks,
Brandon

Unless Canadian models differ greatly, the "stability control," aka TRAC, is simply an extra throttle body butterfly that cuts power when the wheels spin. It's about as rudimentary as it gets. My two thoughts as to the culprit are: 1) the TRAC butterfly is closing completely; I would think that would bog it down not shut off the car, but who knows, and 2) the ECU capacitors are bad (most are at this point) and causing some funky behavior when traction control is activated.
