Not a build thread
So has anybody ever done a coyote swap or attempted one in one of these SC cars? Got one laying around and it would be very different than the typical LS or 2j swap.
The width of the Coyote 5.0 engine might be a major hindrance in the SC's engine bay. Same with an MKIV's engine bay as they are identical. LS swaps being much more compact are far more ideal for this reason.
I've seen a few Coyotes being swapped into Land Cruiser FJ40's, FJ80's, LR Defenders and old Broncos and some 40's/50's cars at Icon 4x4's shop. The width of those engines next to the shock towers floored me. Some creative work to get them to fit was mandatory.
A lot of measuring and possibly re-routing of electrical and A/C lines to be accessed elsewhere away from the shock tower sides might be necessary.
Personally I'd vote LS or built JZ turbo and consider the Coyote for another vehicle but that's only because I haven't seen it done before. I just know that from a visual look at fitment in other classics it would be no walk in the park.

No walk in the park for sure. But if it’s anything like the f body bay, I think it may fit. I’ve stuffed one in my 4th gen. I wouldn’t be keeping anything a/c related so that wouldn’t be much of an issue. Like I said before. I’ve got both an LS and Coyote in the shop. I may go out tomorrow and and take some measurements etc.
I want to say I've seen a pic of it done on facebook in one of the SC groups. I could be wrong tho. It might have been just a well done photoshop.
That would make more sense since I imagine someone who succeed in doing the swap would have gotten somewhat FB famous in the groups for doing it

Yea, I’ve got mounts and a driveshaft for an ls swap. May end up doing that, just for the simple fact that it’s simple.
