Lightbulb Weathertech floormats that work in SCs

I found Weathertech floormats that will work in the SC300 / SC400

They aren't perfect, but they're a good fit. And this is probably the closest we'll ever get to having true all-weather floor liners for our cars.

The Weathertech liners are fronts for the 2006+ IS250/IS350 RWD

Here they are on the Weathertech website:
https://www.weathertech.com/lexus/20...an/awd-y-n/no/

They are offered in 3 colors: black, grey, and tan.

I originally bought a set of these for my IS300 since it's my daily. It's somewhat of a common mod USA IS300 owners have been doing for years since Weathertech didn't offer their premium mats for us either. After a couple people in the SC FB groups started saying IS300 floormats fit rather well in SCs, I knew I needed to try this.

Some notes:

-The dead pedal is in a good spot. It's a bit taller in ISxxx cars versus our SCs. This is not a big deal if you are auto, but if you are manual, or manual swapped, if you wear wide shoes it can interfere with pushing the clutch in.
-You can see I cut the mat vertically over by the gas pedal. I did that for my IS300 because the common complaint is that since the new IS cars have a different shaped trans tunnel, putting these in the IS300 causes the mats to bow inward right here. A lot pf people don't cut it, but the bowing annoyed me, so I cut it about 3-4in vettically. Cutting the liner causes all the bowing to go away and the mat flexes over itself about an inch. Once I got it fitted right, I put duct tape along the outside to seal the cut so water/salt couldn't get on my carpeting.
-The bowing of the mat you see by my seat is due to it sitting on top of my Bride seatrails. If I moved the seat backwards, it would have fit perfectly.

Here are some pics of me test fitting the driver's side mat in my SC300. I tried to take a lot of pics of how it sits with the pedals since that's the most important part.

And here's the final pic of the mat outside of the car. Showing the tape job I did, and the overlap the mat does to better fit the contour of the IS300/SC300/SC400

If you have a non traditional lexus, they’d work. For a clean example, they’re pretty atrocious looking. A GENUINE black SC interior may be able to pull them off (dyed interiors are lighter color). They’re pretty awesome in a truck or jeep..... but not very “nice” speaking of what most think of in a lexus. I like them for the other mentioned applications. They are great mats.

Edit: which is why I hate floormats. Tough or rubberized mats look out of place and nice ones get nasty quick. If you can stand looking at industrial mats in a nice lexus these are solid.

Yeah, these things are pretty much all function, minimal form. I only drive my SC for 4-5 months a year if I'm lucky. So this went right back into my IS300 right after I took that last picture.
But for anyone who does rely on their SC as their primary daily driver, and they're trying to keep their car as clean as they can, then these will work.

In the mats defense, they looked a lot better 3 years ago when I bought them new. I admit it is dirty as hell when I took this pic. I only clean them 2-3 times a year lol
