Default Rainy Evening Blues..

Well, most of you are probably enjoying your Friday nights with friends or family. Without getting too personal life’s been really hard lately, and I spend most of my weekends alone now. That’s part of the reason I picked up the SC to begin with. Needed something else to occupy my thoughts and energy.

Anyways, it’s a real moody one here tonight and I just finished tweaking the coils again so I figured it was a good time for some more photos. I’m still not 100% but I think I’m in the 90th percentile with Where I like it. I liked most of these so hopefully you guys do too

Looking good!

That is about the ride height that I want too, although I will probably go just a little bit higher for the rear on mine.

Life certainly does challenge us at times and having a beautiful car like yours can be a wonderful distraction. I hope that things improve and one of the only guarantees in life is that everything changes and hopefully for the better.

Looking nice! And just to reiterate on what Jim said, try have something to to take your mind off of things, and be try to be positive even about negative things. Also Wisconsin? Illinois here.

looks good. Similar to the ride height i want, i might go a tiny bit higher, maybe like half an inch. Also it might just be me but i feel like the tires are a bit too thin on those tires. what profile are you running?

Height looks great. Tires seem a but small though. Five-star wheels are a great classic design for flat and long cars.

Thanks guys!! Yeah, Tires are small because I wanted to be able to go super low without any rubbing issues and no rolling fenders, but in retrospect I could have done with a slightly taller sidewall for sure. My plan was for there to be no fender gap, but it turns out that was wayyy too low on 17s to pull off. So this is where I'm at for now.
Oh well, I'm still happy with it for now. The tires are extremely quiet and grippy on road, and hold up well on bad bumps and potholes.

Federal EVO ST-1 195/40. I'd probably go 50s next time. I had 60s before and they were way too tall for my liking.

The car looks great, loving it dumped on 17's. Next time around a meatier tire will really help beef the look up.

Funny, I bought both of my SC's at tough times in my life as a healthy distraction. Although they're always money pits, better spending time and money on a car than fostering unhealthy thoughts in your head. Keep your head up sir!

Why are you running such a narrow tire? Stock is a 225 width you're an inch and a half down on diameter and 1.2 down on width that's pretty significant

That said I'm sorry to hear that you're going through hard times man. A project you really enjoy is always good to give you something to fantasize about. As a recently single dad i feel ya dude times get tough.

^^ yes, like I said I wanted a decent stretch and low profile to go low with no issues of clearance. It still rides nicely, but if I knew I would have been limited to this height I would have sized up a tiny bit in both directions.

I still wouldn't have gone with 225s though :P probably just 205/45 for a bit more comfort, but it really isn't bad at all.

It was all about making these crappy wheels that came with the car look good until I can get a nicer wider wheel. I'm not driving it hard by any means. though I have tested the setup by slaloming hard back and forth at speed and so far feels great. The lower mass and spacing helps keep it planted. I can't recommend these tires enough for the price point.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy, but also take some solace in knowing I'm not alone. I've got two little dudes that can't even talk yet... It's all been out of my control and I'm left blindsided and betrayed. I'm sure you can put two and two together. Anyways... not the forum for that.

thanks for the love guys! I'll take more shots sometime soon with new wheel color and a few other ricer bits and bobs I have in store, but I'm basically done aesthetically for now. stock body tough

Looks good but i personally like much bigger tires to fill that wheel well. I run 285/45/18s on my car and think it looks perfect. ill post a pic soon
