So yesterday I went to a Toyota dealership to get an estimate on a water pump and belt change and they offer for a free inspection check. I said why not and they came back with a whole bunch of unwanted issues. I figured. I want your personal opinion on this. My main goal is to keep it OEM simplistic but sexy, nothing major for now. So with that in mind, would you say the maintenance is worth the keep or just I sell it and grab another one? The prices shown are included with labor at the dealer ship, I'm also figuring out what I can do myself to cut cost. Please give your honest opinion, all will be appreciated.
Those look like standard dealership prices. Oil pan, trans pan and rack and pinion will depend on how bad the leakage is, in regards to their priority.
I would recommend to at least do the timing belt and water pump if your car is at the recommended mileage. The only other leak I would prioritize is if your power steering pump is leaking, since that usually ruins the alternator situated below it.
At least the car wash is free!
