Default What year SC400 do you own?

I swear everytime i read a post of a SC400 gettin' blown out or dusted, it's always a 92 or 93 model. I almost wonder if anyone has 98's and 99's,... hell i don't see many responses from any one with 96's or newer often, or is it that the newer gen' SC400 owners just don't respond to posts,.. especially when it come to speed, racing, performance, etc....

96! If I knew that there was a freakin' body style change one year after I got my car I woulda waited and got a '97, but oh well, I love my car anyways. I wish I had a 98+ with the VVTi, and you better believe I would be posting some sick racing stories. Nice ride Nazty.

First one to weigh in for the 95s. Gotta love the OBD-I! Now that we have cheap *** blower kits, I hope to see some people here manning up for the big power! The newer SCs are still pricey and harder to tune, so I think most guys here own the 96-below. Production dropped about 1997 so you won't see nearly as many as pre-97s.

I love my 99 SC 400 especially the 3 spoke steering wheel and the gated shifter. But like lex400sc said the OBD II does limit tuning for now. However I did install SRT high flow intake.

Where? After putting down the crack pipe, please share where these kits are available!

I was going to sell my 93 SC400, and buy a black on black 99 SC400 vv-ti. Gorgeous car!! I decided against it because of the difficulty in shifting my Forced Induction efforts. FI for pre-98's will not work on the vv-ti. Gosh, I wish I could have that gated shifter, it is absolutely cool!! Plus that black interior- SICK!!

The newer ones had alot of little changes but nothing crazy, I will tell you that the gated shifter is a royal pain to manually run thru the gears, the dildomatic is much easier.

97 is the best year in my opinion cuz it has the newer look, the 260hp engine, non-vvt, and OBDI if I'm not mistaken,... so best of both worlds, and will be cool with some booooooooooostin'!
