Replacing black window/door trim on SC400? (Help)
Does anyone know how to take off and replace the window trim? Or any ideas so I can scrape off the remaining black to vinyl it? If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!
This is what I'm looking to replace
And this is what I want it to look like

I think this is actually a particular finish that Lexus applied to the vertical sections of the doors behind the windows. It's not a trim that you can replace. Unless I am mistaken it has to be completely redone in the re-painting process of the car... or at least just the door itself.
Now exactly what layers go under the final paint and clear I am not sure. Same for the exact paint color Lexus used for this section of the doors. A good body/paint shop can replicate it as per the factory look I am sure.

I'm looking to vinyl wrap it but I'm trying out how to make it smooth, any ideas? I tried an ice scraper, but it wasn't doing much (actually just wearing down the scraper.) I don't really want to scratch the chrome because I want the vinyl to come out smooth
