Was idling down driveway, long driveway 1/4 mile, got to end and car just quit, like turning off key. try to restart 12 times all it would do is attemt to start then quit like for 2 secs..can here the fuel pump keep going after it quits. so towed it back to house, poped hood and jumped the fp to b+ on connector turn car to on postion and could hear the fuel in rails..sc 400 1992 200th miles, 1/4 tank of gas just got gas night before. yes prem gas. any hint where to start please.
yes it will start for few secs and quit. so yes i would say spark is there..it thunder storms here atm, so tomorrow is more test day, could use some things to try. have not done ecm bypass..
Ok first test of the day, undid main fuel line to engine rail, a couple of drips came out, order an new fuel filter will be in by 3 today, in mean time will take out filter and test at input of it.
Secound test, clear bottle on fuel line at engine, jump fp to b+ in connector engine, turn key to on postion, pump came on fuel in bottle, looked at fuel clear and smell test good. on to the next step..
Ok changed fuel filter, check spark jumps an inch gap no isuue, did fuel pump ecu bypass, still same issue start for a few secs, which i figure is the cold start injector giving it an shot. had someone turn car over while i pinched the return line for fuel off so made sure pressure was good ( almost made fuel pump quit) swap out ignitors, swap out maf, still same, seems like injectors not working. i have done stater in car so while the intake was off cleaned out all the carbon buildup in egr system and iac and thorlte body.
help please

Ok still need an hand or idea.. How can I test injectors in car? want to know if fuel is coming out. I dont think fuel is coming out of injectors..Only the cold start is working.

I think you are on the right track. If you have a few days, just send the ecu to Tanin or the guy on facebook and they can turn it around in a few days with new capacitors.

The ecm was damaged by water, did the caps anyways but it still has issues..I am using an 95 ecm in the car, works but 95 used an electronic egr, 92 use an vacuum and relay, so the only code in ecm is egr. I might just put the electronic egr in and wire it up to ecm.
Ok I did find the issue I had with no start. The issue was an failed connector which was located beside injector one and under the diag port , Had to remove the plastic cover above the injectors on left bank.
