Default 95 SC300 HID Recommendations

Hey guys,

I'm looking for any opinions on what kind of HID's I should get for my 95 sc300. I'm looking for a good plug and play one. I know there was another post about this, however it has been 5 years since that post so I was wondering if maybe there are newer/ better ones out there?

Thanks!

For a plug and play application? I recommend XenonDepot's 9006 (low beam) Extreme HID kit (P/N XT-9006) with the Phillips 4300K bulb option. Comes with everything you'll need to get up and running. The ballasts, bulbs and universal wiring harness are quality and last. Plus they have excellent customer support and individual replacement components.

I've been on mine since for years and love them. Install and forget. The brightness, visibility and safety improvement over stock bulbs is night and day.

The next step up would be getting your headlight assemblies custom modified for an HID retrofit possibly with other options. Organized Garage Status offers those kinds of services for instance.

I bought a set of DDM Tuning hids earlier this year and im very happy with them. They light up the road much better than the halogens and the 5500k temperature is really white. All the road signs and lanes almost look like they are glowing and the road is very well illuminated. I still need to take the time to properly aim them but they are working very nicely. They arent as good as the one Kahn mentioned but they are only $60 on amazon with the bulbs and everything so its up to you how much you want to pay. I cant speak for how long my set will last but they do come with lifetime warranty so im not too worried. If you want some picks you can check out my build thread in my signature.

i too have used DDM tuning in the past and loved em. had zero issues. unfortunately, i just bought a set (through amazon luckily) and had flickering for about a minute after startup on one side. e-mailed DDM tuning since they are supposed to have a lifetime warranty and I never heard back from them. so i handled the return through amazon (which is why i said "luckily")

i eneded up getting LED bulbs. the technology on the consumer level is almost there. but I like these and dont really have anything bad to say
