Forced Induction? AT LAST!!!
Not an attack on you....and dont start crying now after running a mod list like you're Mr.Lexus
Stop talkin all that big **** about "You gotta pay to play then' ...If you wanna step up then do it like youve done it before (more free advice
)
-YOU are the one that started throwing $$ figures around...NOT ME
-YOU are the one that asked for opinion...NOT ME..You dont see me on here talkin big **** aor talking down to people about the mods ive done. I have more respect for enthusiast than that.
- I take racing serious.....VERY serious....I dont do it for bragging rights either...but then again theres no way you couldve known that.
-The statment about companies using 'public funds' was a general gripe and not directed to you.
-In the context that you posted your mod/repair info...you were bragging...deal with it...i did.
-Not known to be negative towards anyone or mods that theyve done to their cars....But dont open the box if you're not ready to deal with whats inside.
-I have nothing against your car...it needed repairs. But dont brag about how much it cost you to bring it to stock condition
Anywayz, Dont talk about it......be about it.

Forced induction is expensive. For that package is a good price. No headache. Just bolt on and turn the key and you are gone. I have been reading Andy's project for a while now. You are not only paying for the supercharger, but you are also paying for the R&D, Tax, shipping and all other expenses. Its a good deal. Two thumbs up for Andy.

If you are complainting about the price, then you should try to make one yourself and we will buy it from you.

As a V8 owner I have no issues with $6,500 bill for the supercharger, but who is "altstadt" and what credentials does he have to be reselling the Oz developed supercharger kit (or am I reading between the lines?)
We (TIFBITZ in the UK) have been waiting for the ECU development to match the supercharger kit, once this is all available as a package we will be in a position to resell these kits, but not a moment sooner.

Gents: It is a Roots/Eaton Setup, non-intercooled, 6 psi. There is an FMU for fuel management. A tunable ECU is being worked on. It will work very similar to the Jackson Racing SuperCharger Kits. This is the base unit. For those that want more power, there will be additional capabilities on a custom basis.
The centrifugal blower set-up will offer more upper-end performance, we are looking for lower end, as the stock SC400 pulls pretty strong in the upper powerbands- especially after the fabbing of the BFI (highly recommended mod). Because of this, we did not go with a Vortech Paxton type set-up.
The Super Charger should be on my car and tested quite extensively during the next 60 to 90 days. I will post pics of the stand-alone kit, the installation process , and the finished product. Installation should not be much more difficult than changing your timing-belt and associated accessories. Again, before and after time slips and Dyno runs will be posted as well. My car is a 93 with less than 100,000 miles. Engine runs very smooth, and I will post a pre-SuperCharger compression test as soon as that is done as well.
I will be installing the Lextreme ARP studs, his TC re-build (final stall time yet to be determined). Also, custom cams are right now in the process of being developed to work more effectively with the SuperCharger. Those would not be in the standard kit. Those are for my car. Custom headers will be installed with a properly placed X-pipe, free flow cats, and exhausts as well. The suspension will be upgraded, as well as the brakes.
The car will be an absolute sleeper, and I bet anybody who drives it will be pleasantly pleased. Keith will probably be the first ClubLexus member to drive it after me. He can tell you what he thinks.
FYI, the above list is not bragging, just a list of the mods being done to give me the performance I wish to accomplish. Some may wish to do more, some less.
Gotta go. Lots to do in the next 90 days. Plus, my full time profession of selling Application Oriented Voice and Data Solutions to businesses calls me.
Full service and support as well as warranty support will be available through us. BTW, the name of our company is RYA Performance.
Keep in mind, we will not sell anything to members of this forum without being ClubLexus approved.
I hope that is enough to answer your questions for now. Please complete the poll.
Thanks,
Ryan

Well said Ryan,
This is the first true Forced Induction kit for the 1UZFE. I am excited to see the results. People, start saving your money. If you save $1,000 per month. Within the next six months you will have enough for the kit.
This is my advice for FI. Before you want to put in the SC Kit. Make sure your engine is in good shape. Here is more info on engine intergrity.

Thanks for the comments. This reply is some additional food for thought for all of you out there in Internet Land.
This project is NOT for those who want to turn their SC400 into a pure race car. This is to take the stock car which has been so well designed and balanced by Lexus, and give it the Umph! that it is missing. We do not want to lose the luxury aspect of the car. Think about it- the SC400 is a masterpiece of luxury, sportiness, class and smoothness. If we can keep that intact, yet modify the car so that it will compete effectively with such cars as the ricer wannabe Dodge Neon SRT4, 350 Z, Bimmers, and the whole host of Japanese ricers (nothing against ricers), then we feel that we have a viable mod to suit most of you out there. Let's face it, if you want a fast car, there are plenty out there to choose from. But, how many of them look, feel and drive like a Lexus, and are fast?
Lexus not only engineered a fine vehicle in the SC400 (other models as well), but it carries a certain panache about it. Their motto: "The relentless pursuit of perfect", could not be better stated.
We want to improve on that. We want to add on to that luxury, style, class, performance. Quickness!! This mod will accomplish that in droves.
For you hard core racers, this mod will not satisfy your need for 500 rwhp. If you want that, post 50 high quality posts on Lextreme's site, and he will let you into his labor of love to develop a single turbo for your SC400. But, for now, you will have to invest all of the R&D, time and money to fab it yourself. And whoever finally does it, I can't wait to see it!!
I will say this, our SuperCharger project will provide you enough "kick in the seat of your pants" quickness, that I would recommend that most of us brush up on our performance driving skills.
With that said, I bid you all a great day!
Ryan

..give him another chance to explain his product in detail..
hey altstadt, we all are very interested in any project conscering the sc,but understand that dealing with a performance aspect of modding-there will be critics(not directed to you emerald)....negative and positive comments will be made about financial support, quality of the product, reliability ,etc-these are all legitamate issues ,but at the end of the day the r&d and hard work will be appreciated by all! good luck!!
Hey NextLevelCoupe:
I appreciate your comments. I think I also stated clearly that I appreciate all the critics comments, whether positive or negative. That's part of an open forum. But, for the rest of this thread, I would appreciate it if we could let dead dogs lie. There is nothing to benefit by dredging up the discourse between Em and me. She has stated her piece. I obviously strongly disagree. I don't care to comment on it anymore.
I learned an important lesson a long time ago...Personal success is not determined by what others say or think about us as individuals, but, it is determined by what we do. Period!!
This is a preliminary poll, which I stated. The proof will be in the pudding when the product is out. When that happens, you will all know.

Sounds great. Please keep us up to date. If the price doesn't get too high I am interested. If there is any way to make a kit in the 4k range that would produce approx.100 FWHP you would really have a hot item IMO.
