Stock SC400's come with Denzo Iridium plugs right?

I've just heard that platinum or iridium plugs are no good if you are running richer than 14.7:1(stoich) since they tend to foul out(permanently) and it cannot be cleaned.

what are you Turbo SC guys using for your spark plugs? iridium, copper, or platinum? does it even matter?

I might be wrong ( I usually am) but I thought only the newer 97+ SC's came with Denso Iridiums.

 

yes you're right, the 97+ came with those
my 95 came with some Denso, forgot which model tho.

 

Turbo guys generally use NGK 3330s BPR7ES? (i think) or 6097s, Or Denso Iridiums IK22. The Iridiums are around $12 each from Horsepower Freaks. They carry the others as well. The 3330s are great for warding off detonation under boost and don't misfire under boost but idle a little poorly. The 6097s idle a little better - haven't tried them. The Iridiums are decent and don't need changed nearly as often. Putting these in this weekend.

What spark plugs are ideal for the SC400?

 

I have the Denso Iridiums in my SC4, seems to run about the same as the Platinums it came with, then again there's no boost...

 

i need the plugs for boosting.....
