While I had my bumper removed, I removed the snorkle that comes out from the oem intake box to under the headlight. I can't believe how small the intake is. I was wondering if I would be better off leaving it on or off?

well if you are installing the injen CAI or something, i would definitely say remove it... i took the time and effort to remove the 1 bolt and 1 screw (and the 90 other screws necessary to do so) and noticed it left me with a nice area for the air to flow in. this is what it looks like from the bumper going up through where that snorkle used to be...

That;s funny, I took my snorkel off too after seeing on planetsoarer that it helps airflow (I think that's what I saw anyway ). I don't notice any power or noise difference. So, out of laziness and convenience, I am going to leave it off.
I'll see if it improves my mileage- that'll be hard to tell though since I changed my cap/rotor on the same tank of gas.

Resurrecting this ancient thread...
Does the front bumper have to come off to get the stock snorkel out?

nope, you can just yank it out. there might be a few screws but it's simple as pie.
