Hey guys, im new to posting so forgive me if this is in the wrong place but i have a 92 sc400 with a 1uz in it and im afraid the starter went bad, when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump come on and a clicking sound (only one click) ive done a bit of research but im hoping for some more opinions, i can't afford a mechanic and have a job interview on monday haha... So anything even if its a temporary fix would be great, thanks guys,

I'm not certain if your starter actually has gone bad or not but if it has, it's a bit of work to replace it on the 1UZ (or any UZ) engine since it's located under the intake manifold and in the middle of the "V" of the engine.
With other cars that have an exposed starter motor you can always whack them slightly on the outside with a hammer to see if the brushes can be jolted into working again but this isn't possible with UZ engines.
IF the starter is the issue it can be rebuilt with a few OEM parts or you can buy a new/reman starter from Denso.
^^ Yes. If there is an issue with one of the battery terminals needing replacement either one is MUCH easier and cheaper to replace than a starter. OEM starters are very, very long lasting and while they can go out with this much age or high mileage it is usually not the first suspect when there are electrical starting issues.
The starter may be the issue but before assuming it is, check everything else first including your car's battery health. Don't get into replacing it unless/until you know for sure that you have to.

I’m just mainly confused about why is my starter popping out but not spinning my flywheel I’ve spun the motor over by hand and it moved so it’s not locked up ,and like I said (new starter and battery,spark plugs,repaired ecu,and injectors ) is this a wiring issue or could adding a ground make a difference
Try jumping it. Remove the starter relay and jump pin 30-87, the side of the relay will show you, if not look it up on youtube. It may be a ground wiring issue from the ignition switch, but the best way to test it is using this method. Worse case, the starter is defective out of the box. I replaced my 07 Tundra starter and had both tested before I installed the new one, my dead one would pop out, but not spin. Maybe someone returned a bad one for the refund and the store placed it back on the shelf.
I’ve tried starting it from the starter relay but it still clicked. And I had thought that last time the gave me and effected starter and I took it back and the new one that I got still clicks but (ground wiring issue to the ignition where would I find that?)
