Can you make a set of black 97 tails for me? I have a set of 97 tails laying around.

Do you think you could have the reverse lights manufactured? I would be more interested in that than the signal lens.

Awesome, Do you have any estimate of what the cost would look like?

I broke my tail light today trying to remove the key hole, so that was a bit of a set back on my project. It makes me wonder how many people would actually try to replace the lens if you did have them manufactured.

The key hole thing is what always stopped me from modding my taillights. I saw a few taillights get broken back in the day due to removing the key hole.

It was a minor set back for me, but it's not a big deal. I need to find a cheap cracked tail light, and cut out the keyhole from that one properly, and I can swap it into my light. I heard from my friend there is a SC at the junk yard with some busted tail lights. Hopefully its still there by the time I go.

I was originally trying to approach it using scotturnot's method and using a razor blade to cut/pry at the same time, but I wasn't sure where the breakaway point was (now that i've broken it, I know exactly where to cut in the future). I got impatient doing that, and I remember the facebook groups saying to just heat them up and yank it out (big mistake). I posted the pictures in my build thread.

Should be around $100 range. We never take the key hole apart. We simply break the thin part that overlap from the reverse piece, it's behind the entire red part anyways, so it won't be seen. Once that thing is broken, we can bend the reverse part slightly to get it out.

Yeah, I remember Kohinoor mentioning to do that years ago, but it didn't click in my head until it was too late.

$100 for a replica of the OEM lens with no UV damage sounds worth it to me.
