92 SC400 with working raise/lower of the mast antenna. I just bought this car and don't know the history. It also has an amplified antenna stuck to the front windshield.

I'd like to stick with the stock mast antenna but assume there was a reason for the amplified antenna.

How do I test the stock antenna/wire?
