Default Need to replace steering rack - suggestions?

My car feels like it is on ice skates. With the steering wheel centered, when I start to make the car turn, the first quarter turn does nothing! It almost feels like I'm hydroplaining.

The dealer says I need a new steering rack which they want to charge $2100 to do and new control arms for the front left for $1200. Both prices seem ridiculous.

Are there any aftermarket parts I could use instead? Would any Toyota or Supra parts work the same way?

I let the dealer work on medium to small jobs but the big jobs they charge way too much IMO.

Any suggestions?

I did my steering rack for about 300 bucks. I got a rebuilt rack and did the work myself. Message me if you need advice.

There is an "Asian Auto Care" center close to my house that replaces power steering on Lexus all the time. Should be a lot cheaper. I'll keep the $300 in mind.
