I know the fabled talk of installing supra LCA's into our SC's is common talk but id like to be sure before placing my order can any of you confirm these will fit a 99 sc300?

its too late man dropped 600 bucks on em. I will see how long they last.

EDIT: After comparing them i may send them back tomorrow i just want to know if those OEM one include bushings as well. I liked the idea of an aftermarket suspension but not a drifting one on an auto trans car -.-

 

Nah Bro lol, thats why i included the supraforums post. You'll have to add bushings somehow. Either-way. Best route is still oem.

Why would you do this when you can buy new ones for about $70 more and know the ball joint is good? Plus, you said your car is a 99, these are for a 93. I think there is a sticky link on here that describes the difference after 97 than before. Not sure if they are interchangeable or not, I have never owned one over a 93 so have never had a reason to research the difference, but from memory they are cast steel vs aluminum?

 

It's best to buy new, I'm in the process of getting new arms also. The Supra arms aren't as soft. It's better having peace of mind you car will not fall out from under you. That happened to me when my ball joint came out. Thankfully, I wasn't rolling fast or it could of been a huge issue. Either way, if your arms aren't in bad condition right now. Save the money for oem. Used is a bandaid the could cost you your life.

 

Just cast iron and after 97 is aluminum apparently.

 

On the SC all the LCA are cast iron. The difference for 97+ arms is in the bushing design. Most replacement bushings are meant for 92-96, but they can be made to fit 97-00 arms if you do a little bit of cutting to the bushing sleeve. Replacement bushings aren't a bad option if your ball joints are in very good condition, but given the age of our cars I would recommend buying new supra LCA.

 

I'm not sure if its cast iron or steel. I wrote iron because those words were stuck in my head when reading the post. I know the parts aren't aluminum.

 

Factory Toyota LCAs for the Supra are cast iron.
