The gear shift / selector has become loose in the detents on my automatic SC300. I pulled the console covers and looked inside the mechanism, but I can't see how to tighten it. Has anyone had the problem and fixed it? If so, how?

 

I had that problem. I told Lexus and they fixed it for me. It is like 1.5 hours of labor. My understanding is that it is like shifter bushings in a 5 speed....If you are willing to take apart the shifter box, I guess you just need to put it back together tight.
