SC Posters,

PLEASE take and extra 10 seconds to think about and choose the appropriate forums for your posts. The Mods and SMods have enough work on our plates already without having to move 10+ posts a day.

The CL Staff Thanks You

Yeah good luck getting some posters to chose the correct forum, when they are not even capable of composing an intelligible "Subject" line, even though they have EIGHTY characters to work with!

Look at these lovely examples in just this SC400 forum over the past week:

"curiosity what do u guys think.... "
"Check... it.... out "
"Leak "
"I need to know the truth "

And my two favorites:

"Sc400 " and "Please Read"

I realize our volunteer moderators are doing the best they can, and I don't mean to be unappreciative, but titling threads like that is worse than picking the wrong forum, since it is impossible to tell what they are about, defeating the whole purpose of the "Subject" field. The ones that have been moved recently may have been placed in the wrong forum, but at least you knew what they were about!

solves that.

I have a thread in the lighting forum that started here. Only problem is that when i pm'ed someone to finish the conversation, they didnt even know the thread had even been posted to further (28 posts later).

I think the problem within that is that most people don't want to chase all over heck looking for a topic when they mostly go to the forum that represents their car's.

However, no complaints from me, i think the subforums are a good thing, i just wish more people visited them.

Amen! That's gotta be the most annoying thing to see when browsing forums. In fact the "new post" screen should have an advisory message right next to the "Subject" field, telling the submitter to make a descriptive subject.
Even better, VBulletin should be modified to accept no less than, say, 15 characters in that field to force the inclusion of more descriptive text.
But in the meantime, Moderators should treat that sort of offense just as severely as not using the proper sub-forum, and send it back to the submitter for editing.

People, this is getting borderline ridiculous.
1. Use the Sub-forums
2. Make descriptive titles.
