Hello,

This thread is for a 2nd-gen ES300, not SC300/400, here is a forum section for your SC.

It does seem like the Wireless Door Locks in SC are set up differently from those in ES, as it doesn't appear like you have an actual ROM chip still, if FSM is to be trusted, you should simply be able to follow steps described here to enter the Programming Mode and add a new Transceiver without replacing anything. Try entering Confirmation Mode first, instead of programming a new key, it will show you how many are stored in the system already, not that there is too much use from that information, but it will ensure that the procedure works on your car, and you should be able to proceed with the programming.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Yes, I am aware not for the SC, but the technology described here carries over between GS, ES, SC, LS for the listed years. Looking at the models on eBay, all models used the same types as I stated above. So whether ES or GS, SC or LS, the question remains. The programming procedure is only for 94+, which this thread references can be retrofit swapped into an earlier ROM based 92-93 car. But I'm looking at the wiring of it all, and I don't see how.
If the OP knows how to get around this, it should work car-to-car for all of the Lexus models.

Now that our posts have been moved to this thread, Post #12 describes programming procedure for the HYQWDR-C Door Control that you have installed, seems like it is doable without replacing the Door Control ECU.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

The key part number is 89742-24070
The key FCC ID is HYQWDT-B
The door control receiver FCC ID is HYQWDR-C

I programmed it using the following steps and it worked first time.

Programing Instructions for Lexus Keyless Remote:

1. Start with key out of switch, drivers door open, all other doors and trunk closed, doors unlocked.

2. Insert key in ignition, DO NOT TURN ON, and remove key.

3. Using drivers side power door lock button, lock and unlock doors 5 times within 40 seconds, ending with doors unlocked.

4. Close drivers door and open it. Again lock and unlock doors 5 times within 40 seconds, ending with doors unlocked.

5. Insert key into ignition and turn from LOCK to ON to LOCK one (or more see below) time. Remove key from ignition.

One time to add a new code.
Two times to add a new code and erase all previously stored codes.
Three times to check how many codes are currently registered.

6. Remove key from ignition. Receiver should respond by cycling the door locks a corresponding number of times:

One time to add a new code.
Two times to add a new code and erase all previously stored codes.
One to four times (slowly) to indicate how many codes are registered end).

7. Press lock button on transmitter for at least one second. Door locks will cycle.

8. Within 20 seconds, close drivers door and open it and press button on transmitter again for at least one second.

9. Door locks will cycle. Wait 20 seconds and registration will be completed.

One time to confirm operation is complete.
Two times to signal that the code is already registered.

**if it does not work, start over from beginning, it may take several attempts. If it does not work, contact your local dealer.
