Engine Electrical Issues...
Hey all,
I just got my SC 300 TT about a month ago now, I was out last night, then this morning took a mate home. I turned the car off for about 25mins... then came out and drove off. About 500 meters down the road, i decided to give it a bit, 2 lanes on either side, nice and curvy rd etc... then this error message popped up...
I worked out off the site that posted it that it means: Engine Electrical System
So I took if for a run on the freeway just before, and the turbos etc sound fine, perhaps a little louder with the "whine" noise then usual, but they sounded fine, the moement i give the car anymore then 3/4 pedal it spluts and coughs... then pops up that error message. I was on 104km/h down the freeway... and thought lets see now, i put the foot down a bit and it coughs drops about 600 to 1000 rpm with every cough, goes back up on the tacho, then coughs and drops again.
If i drive it normally like a grandpa it is fine, the moement u put the foot on it , cough cough cough...
Any ideas ? I'm thinking i may just take it in for a service this week aswell.... but some ideas would be nice.
thanx again all.

Do a search or check all ground wires under the hood, especially the ground wire and power wire to the battery. The ground wires are known to fail over time.
