Hi Everyone ,


This happened to me for the first time and i wanna see if it happened with someone else so i can have some info before talking to the dealer.

i started the engine this morning as usual , the driver's door was open so i can hear the engine clearly,
as soon it started i heard something like a sound of a small rock moving through pipes or something ,, this nose just lasted for 2 seconds, then the car was shaking (but not strong shaking) for about 8 seconds and the rpm was about 1500 (usualy it's about 1100) then the engine went back to it's normal condition ,

after that in the same day i started the engine about 3 times and it didn't happen. and i hope it never will.

so does anyone have a clue what this was?
i've got 800 more km before going th the 5000km service.

 

the car is warming up. its usally around 1500 rpm then drops down when it is warmed up.

 

you probably cracked the block or dropped your tranny............

J/K, if its a clicking sound its the injectors.

 

the rpm before warming up is usually at 1100 rpm then it drops to 600 or 700.

 

i just heard the same thing. it sounds like the vehicle is dieseling, and only lasts for about 2 or 3 seconds before it goes away. many have said that it is the injectors.

i don't believe an electronic valve (fuel injector) that is designed to be precise within milliseconds would start randomly making loud noises, unless there is something wrong with it. there is another couple of posts about this. look here:
