Trying to find out what these two hoses are. The bottom one has a leak so it has to be replaced. But im thinking of replacing them both. Can I do it myself? Or It this a job that requires a mechanic?
You can totally do it yourself if you have a pair of pliers or REALLY strong fingers.
Part numbers are : 44348A and 44406D
You cant really tell by your picture but one of the hoses has a metal tube and clamp included.
Those are the two part numbers and yes, you do need a good pair of pliers!!!!! It seems these hoses turn to concrete after 10yrs! Due to limited access and the refusal of the hose to move when the clamp was released, I had to cut the hose down the middle with a steak knife then slowly tug the clamp down to the cut end but the HOSE STILL didn't move so ended up cutting the rubber to pieces before getting ONE end off.
I'm only replacing 44348A because it was leaking down onto my alternator and causing it to fail early in life.
Thanks so far...still one end to go and ending up taking out the coolant reservoir in order to get the second clamp off. Definitely need two new clamps now.
