I am running a high pressure SS power steering line on my 300 and the damn thing leaks.
I had tried numerous times replacing the crush washer, had the end fittings replaced but the leak is still there, grrrr(very annoying).
I read somewhere that you can run without power steering but i like to know what belt to use. If someone can chime, I'd appreciate it,

Have you found this out yet? I am deleting the ps on one of my SC's and would like to know the answer to this question also. I am deleting the a/c as well, so it may be a different question for me than it is for you.

^^ This, OP. There won't be much advantage to disabling your power steering pump. Unless you've built a top fuel dragster SC that gets trailered to the racetrack I would just get a better replacement hose.
Now if this is for a racecar then my apologies. I do not know where to point you for the correct belt to delete your PS. A/C delete for full track cars seems to be far more common.

There are good reasons for endurance racing to delete the power steering. If you modify the rack properly it is not a big deal to drive these type cars without power steering. If you don't agree thats fine but for those of us who want to delete it, if someone knows the belt specs please post what you know.Originally Posted by KahnBB6

Not the answer you were looking for, but for me the answer on a/c and ps delete is 388K6. It's basically a 38.8" belt with 6 ribs. The idler you need is a Dayco 89501 Belt Tensioner that can be purchased off of Amazon for ~$30.

^^ RXRodger, yes for endurance racing also. I did not mean to discourage someone who has those specific goals in mind and my apologies if this was actually your case, 6SOARER. It just didn't read that way earlier in the thread. By all means, yes, in some forms dedicated racing there are very good reasons for a PS delete. It doesn't seem to be done very much on MKIV/SC's though.
6, I realize you already repaired your PS line but I did some looking myself and I didn't find too much. Driftmotion sells a kit that deletes the A/C (but *not* the PS) and includes a new belt and a support rod for the PS pump. Not really a help with this specifically.

But then there is a thread on SF which suggests: "s2000 idler(you'll have to grind the idler bracket) and a dayco #89501"
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...Belt-size-HELP
That thread and RXRodger's post above are among the few solutions for a genuine PS delete I've seen so far. For future, hope this helps.

Got tired of fooling with the power steering in my 92 SC400. It’s not hard at all, there’s just ZERO info on this that’s accurate. I bought F-ing 10 different drive belts to try and find one that would neglect only the ps pump, but could only find one (in a couple hours) that would exclude the power steering, and the AC pulleys. THE BELT SIZE IS 425K6 FROM AUTOZONE. life ain’t so bad without power steering. Hope I’m not forgetting anything.
