Default Swapping out engine harness

I have another post going right now to try and get some help diagnosing my 96 sc400 ecu capacitors keep leaking they are 10v caps. With that being said I got a new wiring harness and new ecu going to try and change both jist dont want to ruin the new harness because of the voltage issues. So my question is does the intake manifold have to come off to remove the harness connectors ie. Knock and starter and if any others in there and if I have to remove the manifold do I have to replace the gaskets. Car has 153k dont kno if they've ever been replaced or if they even have too. Just wanna be prepared when I tackle this. I dont drive it a lot only on my days off and maybe 5-6 hrs each day if that but it is my only transportation after working hrs (have a work truck). How long will it take a novice to replace the harness I kno most of the connections but like tranny connectors and stuff havent even looked at those yet but I kno they need to come off also. Where are the grounding locations that I should be checking inside the engine bay and how can I test the ground wires? Thanks for any assistance on this matter I love this car just ready to feel its full 1uzfe capabilities and to get this engine running right so I can start working on sound and looks.
