Non VVTi 2JZ in VVTi SC300?
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and I have a quick question...
I have a 1997 SC300 with a tired 2JZ and I was wondering if I can swap a non VVTi 2JZ into a VVTi SC300? I heard that the other way around is a wiring nightmare, but in this case couldn't I just leave the extras disconnected? Or would it also be a nightmare?
I apologize for my ignorance, and I did search and couldn't find anything. Maybe my keywords were wrong though. I would appreciate any help!

Dude,
It makes no sense to do that in stock form since you'll end up with less horsepower. What does 'tired' mean? Low engine compression or does the cylinder head need some work? A redone cylinder head is cheaper than a 'backward' engine swap.
