Aliga - is it called the clock-spring? Hehehe...that would make sense since it does look like the mainspring in a typical wind up watch (or more recently, in an automatic mechanical wrist watch)

I saw that on ebay. Looks like someone stuck an emblem on the airbag. Dangerous

I have a 92 SC, I wanted to know, do they make an oem steering wheel thats exactly the same, but has some wood trim on it? Ive looked around and they seem to have it for every car but the sc. Also, I'd like an airbag cover with a chrome emblem on it if thats possible, that would fit my year and not kill me in the event of an accident or whatnot.

 

I suppose if the emblem was strategically pre-cut so that in the event of air bag deployement it would break in half then sticking an emblem on would be fine ...I would try it if I could find the right size emblem

I would stay away from that airbag on ebay. It looks like a '92 - '98 SC airbag that someone glued a Lexus logo onto. I can't emphasize enough how dangerous that could be. I would love to be corrected, but I don't know of any Lexus OEM airbag that looks like that. If it is what I think it is, I can't believe how unethical it would be to sell it.

 

That style airbag was NEVER made with a chrome logo. The Chrome logos STARTED IN 2001.

Like others have said, VERY DANGEROUS. That thing will be a PROJECTILE if the airbag ever goes off...I like lexus and all, but not enough to have a Lexus emblem kill me.

uh.. do they make a steering wheel for the 92 -95 SC which has woodtrim on it? Of course im just talking about the wheel itself, not the airbag section.. I hae seen SCs and soarers tha have the wood trim steering weel, but no matter where i look i cannot find one for sale.

 

All are custom jobs - no SC's have OEM wood wheels. Look at the group buy Manaray has in the classified forums.
