Default Removing SC300 Headlights + Identifying Tail Lights ?

Hey all,

I was wondering, I want to remove my left headlight to take it off, wetsand and buff it up, i have all the materials etc etc. I was just wondering, I know there is a bolt on the top of the headlight that u remove, but there is also one around the side as im guessing... how do i get to this one ? Do i need to remove the side panel of the car or can i get to it from underneath ?

That was the first part...

Now the second... I have two tail lights sitting in my trunk that came with the car. I like the ones that are on the car now and seeing as I have the other two im looking at selling / swapping them for something else that I may choose for the car. So i was wondering, how do I identify what model / year the tail lights are from as they are different to the ones currently on my car....

Any help on either is appreciated...

I can help with the second part
92-94 - Amber on top half and red on bottom half
95-96 - Red on top. Bottom half clear with colored inserts on the inside of the light
97-00 - Chrome borders around the different sections of lights.

Sorry I can't give you a better description of the 97-00 lights. I haven't owned one of them yet.

Poelee,

Item 1:
For the bolt location and how to remove the Headlamp start from here. There are many more threads
about this topic, all accessible by utilizing the 'search' function.

Item 2.
To find which model year the lights you have, refer to the following links:

Default Tail lights

If they are 95-96 tail lights, I'm interested in buying a pair.
How much? What condition are they in? Pictures?

Helpful hint for taking the 2 bolts off the headlight in the fender. Use a deepwell socket and a small socket driver. It will save you a lot of time and energy as I found out.
