Default quick radio question

I have my rear interior out for a speaker swap but I have a hot date sat night and don't want half my car torn apart as a first impression. I took the sub out and trashed it since the cone was torn anyway. Can I just hook the stock rear speakers back up and jam w/o the sub being wired in without any adverse effects due to an ohm load not being present on any stock amp? Its an aftermarket CD player and.not even sure the sub was being used.

As long as the speaker wires are not shorted (with each other or with ground). electrically you would not damage anything.

without the sub connected, the sound will be bad.

Think about alternate ride, if you want to prevent double work and ride with no sound.

unsolicited advice ... if you are very much into projects and serious about the date, why hide you passions.
