Default Can someone help ID a part

I was trying to remove the dash and noticed the vent near the keyhole and to the left of the AUTO temperature ****. I remember reading that it was for climate control sensor. However, in the auto repair manual (the official ones) says that the climate control sensor* is on the dash. (Most likely being the little ball in the far left corner of the dash. If that is so, what is that little 1" square vent for? It doesn't say in the manual.

*correction: SOLAR SENSOR

Default MIC ( I think )

If you are talking about the vent I think you are it is the MIC for the phone.......... The integrated phone was set up so you didn’t have to have it to your ear when using it, You could use the phone and you would hear the people thought your front speakers and you could talk and the MIC would pick up your voice without having the phone near you.......................

Hope this helps (and is correct)..........

I believe the mic was on the roof near the emergency grip bar. (I had to remove that.)

The vent is for the climate control sensor.

Has anyone removed the solar sensor? I tried removing the dash to get at it but it was so difficult. There were so many parts to remove.

Just curious, why are you trying to remove the dashboard? The entire dashboard? Big job...

I had to take apart the dash to try to get the solar sensor. I'm just hoping I get the right thing.
