looks like they don't sell their famous throttle body's anymore. their page says they are "temporarily out of stock" but all three of them are out and I bet they aren't gonna get them back for a long time. anybody know where to buy more, or other options to get besides q45 for going ffim.

That'd be sad, I LOVE my RMR tb. Seems like they're slowly backing out of the 2JZ arena.

The mustang 5.0 throttle bodies from Accufab will bolt up but they are no where near the quality of the RMR and tend to leak a bit. The Ford TPS will wire up to a toyota ECU for the most part but it's not ideal. Better off with the Q45.

ok. so generally the q45 is the second best option? does the q45 need to have the 2jz tps or will the q45 tps work with the Toyota ecu?

Greddy makes or made an adapter to use the Toyota ge tps. Ive seen mention of rewiring but it was for a mk3 supra so don't know if 2j ecu would work.

if you go standalone you can use anything. 90mm mustang 5.0 is the most common besides the RMR or the q45.

only reason the stock ecu needs a toyota tps is due to the extra IDL pin.
standalone do not use the IDL function at all... which the mustang etc.. do not have either.

q45 has the IDL but needs a rewire, I used a tps adapter and a toyota tps on my q45 to keep the toyota tps.

ok. so I've been looking into it and the q45 throttle body comes in 80 and 90mm's. obviously 90mm means more flow but would it be better to get 80 or 90mm?
greddy Toyota tps adaptor is $70 on frsport.com.
can use my throttle body since they work in the same rotation.
and the 90 mm throttle body is 199 on ebay.

I would just wait and get the RMR, its the best Throttle body money can buy, it seals great, doesn't leak and works great.
the Tps for that TB you can buy from napa and pnp.

I loved mine, it was also very compact in size. If I ever do another FFIM setup it will have an RMR throttle body on it.
