I'm having some weird problems and it seems like it surrounds my door lock actuation/oem security system.

• lock door, click lock button - 1 beep
• unlock door, click lock button - no beep
• unlock door, click unlock button - 2 beeps
• lock door, click unlocklock button - no beep
• door open, click lock - single long beep

OTHER TESTS

• door closed, key in ignition, lock door - immediately unlocks
• door closed, key not in ignition, lock door - immediately locks
• door closed, key not in ignition, unlock door - nothing
• door closed, key in ignition, unlock door - nothing

 

Very similar issue on my last SC, not sure on your year but if it's the earlier years and you have the button built into the key try replacing the battery and while you're in there check the soldering spot on the antenna of the key to make sure it's intact. Just by normal wear/vibration it can break and crack. Easy fix, just put a drop of solder on the crack and you're good to go again. Hope that helps.
