Default Armchair Appraisal

Well, after 15 years, it's finally time to let go of my beloved SC400...
Sandstone/tan, repainted nicely, TT springs/sways, brakes, Bilsteins, recent lower control arms. Staggered 17s, Borbet type T I believe.
The bad, 186k, needs tires, windshield.
Engine has some mild port work, center resonator delete, and raised fuel pressure to compensate, passes smog always.

Any guesses on what it will go for in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle area?

Dealer offered me $1,500 trade in, had to think I could do better, since I just sold a beater Tercel for half that

$3000-3500 would seem about right. I just got my 99 for $3000 and my brother picked up his 92 SC400 in very rough cosmetic shape last week for $1500. Just a guess though.

Thanks for the feedback, I nearly thought I was losing it ...
That's exactly what I was thinking as well, havent really looked around at prices lately, the couple that I saw were obviously way over priced, so I was kind of lost.

Not to many clean 400s here either go put tons of tire shine on it

Thanks for the encouragement, I know it would be perfect for someone, is a lot funner to drive than its replacement that's for sure.
Maybe if I spray down the engine with tire shine it will be worth more, just like the dealers do...
It's a 1992, so that definitely brings it down a notch I suppose.

If it's in actual good shape, it's worth more than $1500.

Please don't spray tire shine on the engine, not even gonna explain why.

They don't use tire shine, they use degreaser. I'd run from any dealership using tire shine in that fashion.

Part out what you can. Anyone wanting that car not on this forums won't appreciate the upgrades.
