Default Car won't start again

Hi everyone,

Few months ago, my car didn't start because of an error 78, and after changing the fuel pump, everything was fine...until few weeks ago, when the car didn't start again, with the same error code 78.
Here is what I've done so far:
- check error code with E1 and TE1: only error 78
- bypass the fuel pump ecu with FP and B+: change nothing, car still didn't start
- Thus, decide it's the fuel pump, and wait few time to have cash to buy another one - a used one -
- while waiting, keep the battery charged
- change the fuel pump today: car still didn't start
- clear the error code by disconnecting the battery
- try to start again without more success
- check error code: still 78 and only 78
- bypass the fuel pump: still didn't start

So what can I do now ? From my understanding, error 78 is either fuel pump or fuel pump ECU.

Car is a Soarer, with the 2.5 TT. Any help, any 2 cents appreciated.

I'm not on internet everyday, every time, so forgive me if I don't answer quickly !!
