Default 1uzfe power steering question.

i swapped a 1uz into my nissan truck and used 240sx front steering and suspension, i have an ls400 power steering pump plumbed to the 240sx steering rack through a cooler.

after a few hot laps the power steering becomes super hard, almost like i have no power steering at all.

i already plan on upgrading to a larger cooler, but I'm also wondering if anyone knows where i can source a smaller PS pump pulley?

or if there are any other things you would suggest?

picture for enjoyment.

Odd. In a recent event in 95 degree with Louisiana humidity, my PS didn't act up at all through multiple laps. I would look more to the 240 steering rack.

there is obviously a compatibility issue between the rack and pump, and I'm assuming the pressure and volume from the ls400 pump isn't up to the task. hence why I'm asking for a smaller pulley for the pump. also if anyone has any links on how to increase the volume such as resizing the ports on the 1uz pump or any other options.
