Default sc400 alternators

So I am now on my 3rd autozone special POS alternator in 4 months and now they will not warranty my alternator because miraculously they lost my warranty information and refuse to give me a "working" alternator... SOO I refuse to deal with them again.

Where, if they exist, can I buy a 100% new alternator? Or beter yet a alternator that won't crap out on me constantly and looking stupid every few weeks/months working on my car again and again.

sewell lexus sells remans, bosche is remans.... whoooo!!!!?? if there are no brand new one's who has had theirs upgraded by a reputable alternator shop?

You may have a short, drain or something leaking on it. I would get that checked out 1st before you spend more money else where and keep replacing it all the time.

I was running through them until I got a Mechman High Output alternator. That has been stable and giving me great numbers on my volt meter I installed in the dash to stay on top of the issue.

I wonder if the bleach bottle has them running a bit hot. I have one but never put it on because I feared the heat buildup.

I left a good amount of room between the alternator and the cover so it could breathe. The ends are open and everything too. I took this last one off and it appeared fine, the sticker on it even looked new, just failed to work anymore.

I went back to autozone and had a pretty good talk with the manager about me not wanting to fork out money for something that wasn't my fault. Needless to say my car is running right now with another reman alternator.

Currently talking to a alternator shop about upgrading this current one. Got quoted $170 for better internals and a upgrade to 180 amps max rpm output or whatever it is. Gonna do that in a few weeks so I can stop staring down my cluster every time I turn my blinker on haha

Most important thing is have the battery tested to be sure its doing its 50% of the job, and then try to find a Denso reman.
