93 SC400 Trans Diagnostics needed plz!!
so about 4 moths ago i replaced the trans pan seal filter and fluid because it was shifting hard from first to second and loose from third to 4th, didn't fix it. turns out it was the ecu? so now after i purchased another ecu it slowly engages into gear (both reverse and forward) and then after 5 min or so doesn't engage at all as if i am in neutral. also, right before i replaced the ecu it wasn't turning over. so i cleaned the negative terminals on the body and the block (negative terminal was getting hot so it was grounding out vamping the amperage to the injectors) turns over fine now. im lead to believe that she might need a head or valve gasket job done because there is oil and dirt build up, that was making the terminals ground out otherwise. she was previously owned however. so do you think it might be the electrical leads to the trans that might be causing a communication issue the the trans or just even a new torque converter and the pump for it?
