Default larger tires on sc400

Hi guys,

who has upsized the most on tires here? i have a chance to get some 245/45-19 really cheap which are 7.5% bigger diameter than stock. are these gonna rub every time i go over a bump / turn?

i realize it would throw my speedo off but a 350z trans has no speedo output anyway so that's a mute point for me right now

cheers for input
Marko

Depends on what wheel size and offset you have. I have CCW 18x11.5 unknown offset with 315/30 tires on and no rubbing....

Might what to do a search I believe its been covered on the Wheel and tire fitment thread.

45 is really big sidewall for 19's man. It also depends on how low you are. I have 40 in the front, 35 in the rear on 18's. Lowered (but not slammed) and my rears rub.

if you get a wide wheel that tall sidewall won't be a problem because the tire will stretch a little. 245s on a 10 inch wheel would be pretty nice.

Fronts are 19x8 +30mm offset, rears are 19x8.5 +33 offset

I am leaning on these tires being a bit too large too, im more concerned with it just rubbing in the fender wells because how much bigger the diameter is than stock, they will raise my car an inch lol.

I say just wait for another deal. I'm almost positive those will rub with any amount of lowering.

I agree with Sammy ^

Our cars may have big wheel wells, but certainly not that big.

yea that will most likely rub, ull have a tiny amount of stretch on the 8.5 like i had on the TTs but it's minimal, can't even call it stretch really.

I had 245/40/19 on my coils and it tucked in nicely. I went down to 245/35 and it was a little nicer however. I won't comment on my ride quality with these hula hoops I'm riding on. :x

Those are gonna be so beefy since they're 19s lol. What's wrong with 35 profile? If you're worried about the wheels being vulnerable then you don't have to get a stretched size.

I'm running a 305/30 on my rear just fine. no rubbing, though I did have to raise my coils just a bit.
