Ok today I went to get new brake pads on my front brakes. Afterwards the man told me that I have to have a new brake caliper on my right side because the caliper pin was rusted ,so it would not move, but he got the left side to move. They gave me an estimate of $315.00 plus tax

Then he said I will have to have a new front U-joint insulator mount supports because mine is wearing out. Estimate $448.31 plus tax
I wish there was a way I could do it myself so I could at least save a couple of hundred dollars for labor.

What are you going to do with the old caliper? It is usable if you take the pins out and grease the hole and pins.

 

That's what the people at the servive department told me that it was rusted so the pin will not come out. I do not know what pin they are talking about. i am new to brake parts.
