No long explainations just some pix of some of the steps.
I used flat black and clear coat 500 degree engine paint from pep boys $5 per can. I got the stickers through Ted for $17. I can give you his email for anyone who is interested.
First Pix is the wheel off and the Brake pad removed. I removed the top 14mm bolt and the caliper "opens like a door"

I am no mechanic but, I think that would have required that I discount the break lines. Then I would have had to go through the whole process of reasembling and bleeding the breaks. I would have needed another person ect.. This way was easier

Looks great! I was thinking of doing something like that myself. I don't know if I will be able to do it... how hard was it? How safe is it... like I just wouldn't want to paint stuff thats not suppose to be painted
I used about 3/4 of a can of the flat black on the front breaks and way less than half of the clear. Only the fronts are done. I plan on doing the rears this weekend. The rears are different shape, you put the L logo on them.

I was just wondering, how did you get those jack stands under your car? The last time I painted my caliper, I just left the scissor jack under the car. I did one side at a time. There was no space designated on the frame for my to jack up the car and put a jack stand next to it...
I hope i'm not confusing you!
Thanks
